Clinics & Externships

Through an array of diverse experiential clinical and externship courses putting students on the front lines of representing clients, Penn Carey Law students learn what lawyers do, how they do it, and ultimately what it means to be a lawyer.

The Clinical Program

The Gittis Legal Clinics are Penn Carey Law’s teaching law firm, comprised of nine in-house clinics that offer students unique opportunities to develop essential lawyering skills and professional values. Our mission is to educate students on the skills and intricacies of being a lawyer while serving the legal needs of clients and underserved communities.
